SAFE SCHOOL HELPLINE

The Murray County School District has available to its students, parents, and staff the Safe School Helpline® service, as a tool to help advance a safe and secure learning environment for our students.

Here’s a general summary of how it works:
Our school district has been assigned an anonymous, toll-free number for students, teachers, staff, or parents to call or text (800-324-4800 or text 66746, then type TIPS). Reports may also be made via e-mail (visit safeschoolhelpline.com). When a report is made, designated school officials receive the report so we can take immediate action to resolve the issue. Anyone making a report can check back into the line to find out what’s been done about it.

Here is added peace of mind … we specifically selected the Safe School Helpline® to provide this service because it is the only school safety hotline to also provide direct access to trained crisis counselors, 24/7. These counselors are expert in dealing with the critical issues of pre- and adolescent suicide or self-harming, drug or alcohol abuse, bullying, sexual harassment and other mental health stressors. When time is of the essence, potentially life-saving, professional help is immediately available to our students.
